What are the costs associated with the business? What is the profit margin? Which part of the business is profitable?

The Insurance Question…

We do not have insurance for dogs walking business. However, it is important to understand the insurance costs for both small and large businesses for a business type.

Small businesses

First, a small dog walker business does not need to have a very large reserve. A small business does not need a policy (since the business is small there is less risk).

The largest policies we have are for businesses of 8 people or less with 20K to 40K people. These insurance is sold through Dogwalking.com and used by most dog walkers to cover themselves and their dogs.

This insurance is available for $1,500 to $3,000 and can be used as a credit or a debit and will not require a deposit.

We also offer dog walking business insurance (for a minimum of $50) to small dogs and owners that want insurance from our other insurers.

Large business

Large dog walkers, also know as “dog guys” are those that employ over 40 people who own large homes, business, and do many events.

The large dog walkers insurance covers the dog walkers business. It includes liability insurance (if you get hurt), general liability insurance (if you get into an accident), property damage, accident coverage, and a lot more.

How much coverage are we getting for the dog walking business?

According to our insurance quote provider, DogwALKERS, it’s not just for a small business. They calculate that insurance for a 10 person dog walking business is at a maximum of $25,000.

If a 10 person business is owned by a family with 20K to 40K people, then that will be $10,000 to $25,000 for liability, general liability, and property damage.

Here are their quotes and quotes for individual business/small dog, in our area:

Small business – $25,000 – $45,000 – $150,000

Large dog walkers – $25,000-$50,000 – $50,000-200,000

In our area for a small business, you could be looking at almost double that $50,000 for liability, general liability, and property damage…
