I own a dog and you need to buy one for me. Can I still use you as a licensed breeder?
Most dogs can be found as long as the animal is currently in a licensed breeder’s care and not on the market.
Can you transfer animals?
In general, yes. Animals that are in the care of another individual are not transferable. You may need to bring in documents such as a license, registration certificate and a medical certificate to get permission.
In order to sell to a new owner, the animal will need to undergo an animal examination for genetic defects, as well as be spayed or neutered.
Can I have my own breeder?
You may consider buying from a breeder in addition to owning your own dogs, provided that both owners meet these criteria.
How much do you charge for breeding a specific breed of dog?
The average price for a typical puppy is $4,000. If you only breed a particular breed of dog, you will likely be able to purchase the puppies at a lower price.
Are there a minimum age of animals I can place in my kennel?

Puppies that were born with congenital defects such as heart defects, spina bifida, or limb abnormalities are not sold by us. We recommend that buyers obtain an ultrasound for parents and dogs before placing them in our care to determine the health of the puppy. All dogs and puppies placed in kennels with us must comply with health and safety rules.
When are we closed?
Although the shelter is open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., we do close for a 10-day period during the summer for routine cleaning and cleaning equipment upgrades.
