What do I need to do before I use the vacuum cleaner?

Be sure to remove the dog from the tub in the morning and wash your dog in a hot sink if you’re not sure what kind of water is used. Remove any litter and/or food scraps and replace all of it with your own dog’s food.

How do I clean the tub that I installed?

First wash the tub by boiling 1 cup of water in a 5 gallon bucket with a tablespoon of dish soap. Then let it soak overnight. After you rinse the entire tub in hot water, you remove it from its plastic housing and use detergent to scrub off the dust and grime on the top. Next, turn off the vacuum cleaner and put the water from the bucket back into the bucket, so that you’re not tempted to fill it with water. Add more hot water if necessary to clean and dry the tub. It’s important to remove the bath and shower curtain before washing yourself and your dog. Then use a detergent and/or bleach solution to sanitize the bathroom.

If you did not sanitize the bath and shower curtains before washing your dog, then you’ll need to wash your dog’s bathroom before and after you use the tub cleaner. If you did not use towels, your bath, shower and towels will need to be washed and dried by hand.
