4 – Learn to use multiple tools to get the job done!

It’s important to understand that making art is far from a simple task. If you’re anything like my wife, you’re going to want to be able to draw in an interesting and unique way when making your masterpiece. It could be a very simple image, a really large work of art, or one that would require a lot of time and care. With a little practice you’ll be able to make many different kinds of artwork and have a lot of fun working on your artwork.

5 – Don’t be shy about learning other skills!

When there are not enough hours in the day, or as with many jobs, the hours aren’t what they used to be, learning other skills you’re not used to can go a long way to increasing your chances of success. There are countless things a person can learn that would bring a lot of value to your work: being able to paint, design, make jewelry, making a computer program and much more. The more you learn the more of an advantage you’ll have over many of your potential competition and you will be able to stand out from the crowd.

6 – Make something a hobby and invest in something to do with it!
