How is a life coach different from a therapist? – Life Coach Business Plan Template

I’ve written more extensively on the distinction between therapy and life coach but don’t find it as simple.

It is very much like other services offered to help a person who is depressed or with a mental anxiety disorder: we are providing support or advice. It’s a very different and often expensive way of looking at the issues that affect you. A therapist can help you to understand why you feel the way you do, but in no other way does it “cure” anything or change any behavior.

Are life coaches different from counselors or other mental health professionals? Do they help more than traditional therapists?

I will say that life coaches are a different service from therapy, but not to the benefit of the depressed and anxious individual. Life coach programs are often aimed at the younger person. Can a life coach help you with anything else in regards to recovery?

I’ve experienced life coaches to be very helpful during recovery.

They helped me overcome some of my internal struggle with depression and anxiety (they also
