Yes. I can do a lot of things, but I definitely do life coaching. I also run a book club where anyone interested in the art of living, especially life coaches, can join at a minimal cost. I’m always at the ready to advise on anything from how to save money to how to learn, but I will always give advice on how to live! If you need help getting started, I can talk you through a variety of resources.
How much money are you making doing what you do?
I made $25,000 last year! I also make about $1,000-$1,200 per hour consulting and coaching myself in some cases. If you are a coach who’s making a full time salary like I am, the number of hours you dedicate to practicing life coaching makes up about 15-20% of your salary! I have a book to help that too. I also run three weekly books, with another being out in May.
Do you have any advice for someone starting out?
I would love to say “no” to starting out, but as a matter of fact, I can’t because I’ve been so fortunate that I have made a few dollars doing it!
What’s the hardest part about coaching?
I think the hardest part is that I have so much control over everything I do. I know what to look for, where to look for it, and how to put it together to get the most out of it. I feel like a little over the top sometimes, but overall, I enjoy it.
Who do you admire and what’s your favorite person to work with?
I like to work with people who have a lot of good personality and are all willing to teach me the ropes. For example, I love to work with people that are very approachable and willing to take the time to answer all my questions! I also find that people really want to understand my methods and I find that they really want to be part of my group. I find that when people come together and do it together, it really opens up a lot of communication and connection in a much deeper way than working alone would.
What are your thoughts on coaching and/or coaching style?
My philosophy has changed a lot in the past couple years as have the techniques used. The most important thing is that a coach is there to help you, no matter what type you are.
