She later became the first African-American woman to star in a feature film when she appeared in “Marilyn Monroe: Rebel Heart” (1953). Taylor became the first female star to win an Academy Award at age 19. She earned over $100 million for her performance in the film “Romeo and Juliet.”

She also worked as a model in Italy as well as several other countries. She has been awarded many awards for her modeling in the United States.

Marilyn Monroe

Marilyn Monroe was born on January 22, 1927, in Westchester County, New York. She was known for her work in movies with Robert Mitchum (one of her roles in this film was called “Fool Me Twice”). She became known as the first black-clad actress starring in a major motion picture. Her major role was in the film “The Seven Year Itch” starring Audrey Hepburn, with Humphrey Bogart. Monroe died of a ruptured aorta on August 22, 1973.
